Best Website Design Software & Tips

Now that you have your website hosting plan, you are ready to lay out and design your website. Again, you should think of the topics you want to cover, possible logos & themes, the main purpose of the site, etc. Do this & have a good idea & sketch on paper before even attempting to use any computer software.

Once you are ready to design your site, you will want to take advantage of an HTML Software generator. There are several programs on the market, and the most popular are Microsoft FrontPage 2003®, Macromedia Dreamweaver 8®, Website Tonight®, and more. These types of software are called WYSIWYG which simply means What You See Is What You Get. In other words, the way it looks when you design it is the way it will look on your website to other viewers.

In my personal opinion, I prefer FrontPage 2003®. It has a nice set up, allows for easy design, editing, & publishing of your site to the hosting server. Also, it is very similar to Microsoft Word® which makes designing pages easy & quick. If you do not have this installed on your computer already, it can be expensive. I would recommend shopping around on eBay.com® or Amazon.com® for a good deal. You can find it sometimes for $80-$200.

Dreamweaver 8® is also a great software (most people would say it is the best), however, it is also the most expensive & difficult for beginners. It usually costs between $250-$400. Again, if you already have experience with website design, you may like this better.

Website Tonight® is also a great software to use. It usually comes with Godaddy® hosting packages (usually for a small additional monthly charge). It is great also for beginners.
You can download most of these software titles for free online, however, they are usually just trial versions. If you are new to website design software, you may want to download them & try them for free before purchasing them. Below are a few links for downloading some free trial versions of various HTML software.

Also, along with you website design software, you will want to take advantage of neat HTML codes that you can insert to give you web page or auction a unique look (such as cool text effects, marquees, & more). Check out these codes on our HTML Codes page!

Now that you know about some HTML software, you can design your site & submit it to the popular search engines!
