The Greatest Success Story in History

Many times on your journey to find success in life, it can become frustrating. You can lose focus, energy, and motivation.

Sometimes it may seem like there is no way out, that there is no chance you will ever succeed, or achieve you dream.

Well for those of you out there holding on to your dream & struggling to achieve success, I would like to offer some inspiration straight from the life of Jesus Christ.

Whatever your beliefs may be about Jesus, one fact remains, He was the greatest success in the history of all time! This may be a lengthy article, but if you take the time to read it, I think it will give you some great motivation.

Life of Jesus Christ: A Success Story Like No Other

Well what can we learn from Jesus about success? If you look at His life, it is the greatest success story ever told.

Even the bible says “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.”

Jesus Christ was born in virtual poverty. His family eventually had to flee their native land to avoid His slaughter by King Herod.

Little is known about Jesus while He was a boy. The bible records a few stories such as when He abandoned his family during the trip home at a young age to learn more about God. When His family finally found him, He was with a group of religious leaders asking questions. When they asked Him why He had stayed behind He simply said, “Did you not know I must be about my Father’s business.”

As Jesus grew older, the bible says He grew in favor among men.  However, working as a carpenter, Jesus was not wealthy, had no authority, was not a leader, had no children, and no wife.

Yet, as Jesus Christ neared the age of 30, something was about to unfold in His life that would change the world forever!

Jesus’ life took an amazing turn. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, and then He went to fast for 40 days and 40 nights. During this time, He was tempted by Satan.

After the 40 days, Jesus began his official ministry.

Now- let me just stop right here for a moment & point a few things out. Up until this point, Jesus is relatively unknown by most people. He does not have a following, he has little or no money, no house of his own, and has been fasting for the past 40 days. Bible scholars estimate that at this point He is approximately 30 years old.

In other words, He has virtually nothing. But the story doesn’t stop there. I think we know how the story ends. He ends up performing miracles, offering hope to thousands, feeding the poor, raising the dead, preaching, healing, and other incredible things.

Then, only 3-4 years later, He dies a horrific, painful, and public death. Then over 500 eye witnesses claim He was raised from the dead, and ascended to heaven!

What Does This Have to Do with Success?

WOW! Incredible story huh? Sounds amazing! But you may be asking yourself, “What does this have to do with success?”

Everything! Look at His amazing life! Not only does this offer salvation to millions, but this is the greatest success story ever told. Just look at these amazing facts of his success:

  • In less than 4 years time, He went from being virtually unknown, to being the greatest spiritual leader that has ever existed in the world.
  • He never wrote a single book in His entire life (so far as we know), yet more books have been written about Him than any other human being in history.
  • He never made a movie, or even saw one during His human time on earth (so far as we know), yet there have been movies, documentaries, and more made about various parts of His life even thousands of years later.
  • He never traveled more than a few miles from the places where He preached (so far as we know), yet His life’s teachings are being studied, prayed, rehearsed, & televised all over the entire world by millions of people.
  •  He never painted a single picture (so far as we know), yet He has been portrayed in paintings, sketches, & statues by famous artists for centuries.
  • He was never wealthy while He was on this earth, yet every year Millions & Millions are given in His name.
  • He never harmed any human during his life on earth (so far as we know) or commanded a great army, yet people were happy to face death to defend His teachings & beliefs.
  • Everyday, millions of people thank him, pray to Him, believe in Him, live for Him, and die for Him-thousands of years after He lived & died, all because of the wonderful things He did & what He accomplished while on this earth.

Jesus accomplished all of this in a mere 3-4 YEARS!!

Let’s face it, no matter what you & I accomplish during our lifetimes, we will quickly be forgotten. Yet Jesus will be remembered until the end of time.

He did this with no money, no army (or government authority), no weapons, no website, and no telephones, no television, no nothing.

Remember, Jesus changed the world in such a short amount of time, and one of the things He preached on often was the word “FAITH.”

That was one of Jesus’ secret weapons. This is a lesson of success you can learn from Jesus.

He claimed that if one had enough faith, they could tell a mountain to move & it would do it. My friend, you may not be able to make a mountain move by simply speaking the word, but if you have enough faith, you will find a way to get enough bulldozers to get the job done!

I hope you will always remember the story of Jesus. Not only does it give us salvation, but it encourages us on our road to success.

Good luck & God Bless!

Overcome Obstacles and Succeed in Business

Succeeding in business is ABSOLUTELY possible. However, I can guarantee that EVERY business will have its share of obstacles, failures, & setbacks.

So since failures & obstacles are almost a guarantee, let’s discuss how you can overcome these obstacles & finally achieve the success you are working so hard to acquire.

How to Overcome Obstacles & Succeed in Business

Every great entrepreneur that has ever became wealthy or successful in business has also experienced great difficulty on his or her journey. This is normal. This is also why many new entrepreneurs give up so easily. They fail, and then think to themselves…”well gee this is hard & I failed so maybe I should give up & go work for someone my whole life.”

Well, if you are a true entrepreneur, you will probably bounce back as soon as you realize that you hate working FOR people. Entrepreneurs aren’t very happy working FOR people, although they will always be happy to work WITH people (customers, partners, etc.).

As an entrepreneur, you must learn the simple fact that failures will happen often! Whether it is when you are starting a business (license problems, zoning, etc.), or lawsuits, or slow sales (or no sales), or lack of capital, or cranky customers, charge backs, theft, or tax problems, or whatever! Just accept the fact right here & right now that you are going to have problems. SERIOUSLY-say it to yourself or write it down right now that you are going to have hard times. However, you are not alone…

Henry Ford attempted to start Ford Motor company 2 or 3 times before the business actually succeeded. Then he became one of the richest men in America.

Sam Walton’s lease ran out on his first store (a Benjamin Franklin Franchise store) after working hard for 5 years to build it up. Then, the landlord refused to renew his lease-leaving him no other option than to relocate. He was devastated because it meant starting again from scratch, but learned a valuable lesson & remembered it when he became a billionaire from Wal-mart.

Before Richard Branson earned his billions, he was arrested for avoiding an import tax on the records he was importing & reselling. He had to mortgage his house to pay the fines.

Steve Jobs was fired from a company that he & his friend started-OUCH! Only to bounce back a few years later & become the CEO of it & make millions from the Apple Ipod.

It took Ross Perot 78 calls to get his first “yes” from a customer when he started the EDS company. He later went on to make billions with it.

And there are tons of stories just like the ones above. Every other great entrepreneur has also struggled just like you will. They have thought about giving up (and some did temporarily). They have cried (I know I have during the rough times).

But all of these entrepreneurs have one thing in common! They followed their instincts they DID NOT let their failures permanently stop them. They learned to bounce back, to push forward, and to overcome everything that got in their way on their journey to success!

My friend, you must also do the same. When you experience a big fat failure, get sad, get mad, and then get over it. Move on and don’t let that one mistake or failure stop you. Instead learn from it.

Learn to say to yourself- “You know what, this is hard but I can do it. I can find another way, I can overcome this. I can make this work somehow because I believe in it.”

If you really give your business everything you’ve got- I mean all of your passion, all of your creativity, all of your personality, all of your faith, all of your heart, and all of your mind–then you will succeed. But please notice one thing….I NEVER ever said it was easy! I NEVER said that you wouldn’t have failures.

But when you run into these, remember the greats that went before you & suck it up! You can do it if you don’t give up. You may have to make changes, you may have to find new ways. You may even have to start new businesses or find partners.

Always remember that you can’t win at a game if you never play, and you can’t succeed in business if you never try. Trying at least gives the possibility of success.

It only takes one time of being right, one time of being successful, to become a millionaire.

Even if you fail 99 times, say to yourself “I now know 99 ways this won’t work, not what is the one way it will work.” Find what you are doing wrong, and work to make it right!

Even the Bible says, “Seek & you will find, knock & it will be opened unto you, ask, and you will receive.”

Good Luck & God Bless You on Your Journey!
