After you have submitted your search engine to all of the major search engines & directories it could take anywhere from a week to 2 months to show up in the searches. This is why it is recommended that you add your URL as soon as possible.
How often should you submit your site to search engines? Usually, you will only need to add your URL to search engines one time. In fact, if you never even added your URL, it would probably still be picked up by the search engines anyways. Also, once you are added to a search engine’s index, it will likely automatically re-craw your site every few weeks or months. However, you should definitely still submit it to all major search engines to speed up the process.
