Nintendo Wii Video Game System is the Best

Nintendo Wii Video Game System Review

My wife and I just recently purchased a Nintendo Wii video game console. Let me tell you, this thing is a blast for all ages! I don’t care if you are 4 years old, or 60 years old, you will have hours of fun with this thing.

In my opinion, this is the best all-around video game system. It certainly is the best thing Nintendo has ever made, and in my opinion is far surpasses its competitions (such as the Sony PS3, or the Xbox 360). Why? Because it has a large range of user-friendly video games, simple but clear graphics, and of course the very unique and very fun Wiimote and nunchuck are so realistic it feels like you are there!

The cool thing about the Wii is that you can play the older video games from the Original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), the Super Nintendo, the Gamecube, the Nintendo 64, and more. You can purchase the older games online for a measly 500-800 Wii points (usually $5-10–which is very affordable). The games even come with an electronic digital game book that you can view from the menu on the Nintendo Wii.

You can simply download them onto your console, and they will be there for playing anytime you want to take a step back into the “good ole days.” They also make a classic controller that hooks into the wireless Wiimote that allows you to have the “feel” of the older controller that was used with the classics such as Mario Brothers. My wife and I were really excited about playing these older games that we missed and have so many great memories of playing.

The Wii is smaller than what it looks on online images. The actual console is approximately the size of a bible. It is small and square, and has 2 USB hookups, 4 gamecube controller hookups, 1 port for the sensor bar, the A/V cable hookups, and an electronic  hookup. It also has additional storage capacity in the form of an SD card slot, and 2 Gamecube memory cards on top of the 512 built-in memory.

You can get online with the Wii, and check emails, connect with friends, download older games (for a fee), and much more. You can also store pictures on the Wii, and since it takes an SD card, you can quickly and easily transfer pictures from your digital camera or cell phone.

As far as game-play goes, this system is a blast. It comes with 5 sports games. The games are full games, but are very short and basic with the main purpose is to have some fun while learning how to use the controls of the Wiimote and nunchuck. It includes Golf, Baseball, Boxing, Tennis, and Bowling.

Bowling is one of my favorites, but the other games are all a blast to play. What amazes me is that the Wiimote detects your actual movement, and is represented on the screen. So when you throw a punch in real life, it throws a punch on the boxing game. If you hold it like a real golf club, it will really swing with you on the game.

This system is perhaps the closest to a actual “virtual” reality or movement based game we have right now.  It seems that being able to actually be involved in the game is the future of gaming. After playing the Wii, it is no shock why they have been sold out across the world since their initial release.

Even now, it can be hard to find a store with a new Nintendo Wii in stock. Why? Because this is the first system with the unique controller, and it is fun for the entire family. Nintendo makes a huge assortement of games that are perfect for kids, teens, and adults.

For the hard-core serious gamers that love the “bloog and guts,” they also have some titles for you: such as Mortal Kombat, and more. They are also have a few more titles coming out with RPG role playing games with blood and gore. So Nintendo definitely makes games for everyone.

Disadvantages of the Nintendo Wii

There are not many disadvantages to owning this system. Of course, it does cost money ($249.99 on average), and you have to buy additional games as well. So that is a disadvantage, but compared to other video game systems, this is actually very reasonably priced.

The system does not play DVD movies, while its competitors Ps2/Ps3, and the Xbox 360 is fully able to do. But who doesn’t have a DVD player on their computer or TV these days anyway?

Another frustration is the Wii remote compatabilities issues. What do I mean? Let me explain: The Wii remote will work with the new Wii games. However, it will not work with some of the older games (Gamecube/NES/Super Nintend). It may work with some, but not all.

The Classic controller (which look similar to the NES controllers) are not compatible with most new Wii games, and they do not work at all on Gamecube games.

Gamecube controllers can be plugged up into the system, and will work with all older games (NES/Super Nintendo/Gamecube, etc.). However, some new Wii games do not work with it (but many do). So basically there is not 1 controller that works on every single game you can use on the Wii, even though the Wii is capable of working with all older gamecube games, Wii games, and older system games (purchased through the virtual console).

Overall-the Wii system is a winner, and there is no surpise that this thing is hard to find in stock! It is addictive, fun, and you can play the hottest new games right along with the great classics in video game history! If you haven’t got a Wii, GET ONE!

What is the Best Digital Camera to Get for eBay Auction Listings?

Having a digital camera is one of those tools you must have if you expect to succeed on eBay. You need to be able to show clear pictures of your items, and you need to be able to zoom in. This is especially important to those that sell a lot of miscellaneous merchandise, or used merchandise.

When I first started out on eBay, I had a terrible digital camera. I had received it free from a credit card application I filled out, and it was definitely cheap. It was also at the time when digital cameras were relatively new, and didn’t have all of the fancy high megapixels and zooms.

So needless to say, I am shocked I even sold anything with the fuzzy and dark pictures (it didn’t have a flash either). But eventually I did upgrade to a much better digital camera. So if you are an eBay, you need to find a digital camera that can get the job done!

Digital Camera Features You Want to Have for Your eBay Auction Listings:

When shopping around for a digital camera, you will want a camera that has these main features below:

  • Flash-You need a good flash to see items in a dark room or with bad lighting
  • Optical Zoom-You may need to zoom in and out to get a good shot of the item. Optical zoom means the lens actually moves in and out and gets a clear picture.
  • Digital Zoom-This allows the camera to zoom in digitally
  • Macro Mode- This is extremely important. This will allow you to zoom in to see very fine details. My camera can zoom in to see the date on a coin clearly!
  • Movie Mode-This is great if you ever want to record short clips of your item or make videos to insert into your listing. Most cameras these days have a built in video mode.
  • LCD screen- This allows you to see the picture right after you take it. That way, you can know if you got a good shot.
  • High Megapixels- The higher the megapixels, the better the picture. The camera i have is a 7.1 Megapixel camera. It is very good. I would recommend at least 4-5 megapixels if possible. Of course, they go as high as 10-12, and probably even higher as technology continues to increase in development.

If you can get those main features, then the camera will be great for eBay! I strongly recommend you look at the camera yourself to make sure you like how it works and to make sure it has a clear display, a good zoom, etc.

What Kind of Brands Are Good for Digital Cameras? What Digital Camera Do You Use for eBay?

There are some very good brand names on the market. Canon has some great names, and their PowerShot cameras are really good. Nikon has always made great cameras. Kodak is finally catching up as well, but not the best in cameras. Sony makes cameras, and there are several other brands as well. I would recommend sticking to a Nikon or Canon digital camera if possible.

My own digital camera is a black Nikon CoolPix L16. I only paid $99.99 for it! I got a great deal, and it was brand new on the market. It has some great features: 7.1 megapixel, 3x optical zoom, 2.8″ LCD, 21mb internal memory, ISO 1600, 15 modes, Red-Eye Fix, face detection, etc.

If you want a great camera, I can tell you that the Nikon CoolPix L16 has worked great for me. I am sure there are is a new model coming out any time, and there are other great brands as well. This is what my digital camera looks like below:
